Wow, you posted the book trailer on youtube. I'm impressed. I'll take a look at it. I know you had it on your website but didn't know you posted it on youtube.
Always wanted to make a video and put it on youtube but I don't know how. It would be a tribute video for someone I know. Maybe someday, you can teach me how you made your video. I think I could make a powerpoint but I don't know how to attach music to it. _________________ Don't cry if you have lost the sun. The tears won't permit you to see the stars. |

Just checked it on youtube and you have had 211 views. Good for you!!!!!! Now that was a wise decision to make. I wonder if I didn't know anything about you how one would get to this trailer. I'm wondering what they would put in the search engine to find it. I'm going to do that and see what comes up. _________________ Don't cry if you have lost the sun. Delia,
LOL. I'm still struggling! I'm getting ready to put together the trailer for BBH.
Oooh, Jeanne, any thoughts as to what scenes to highlight in a trailer? _________________ Carol

I think since the book is about two brothers, then it should contain both of them. I know what the book is about and I know the mystery in it. Without giving anything away, I would include something about the mystery or conflict about the two brothers. Hard for me to explain without giving it away. But we still don't know what Harrison is about and neither does William. Something like that would be good to entice the reader to wonder what is going to happen which I don't know yet either because you haven't started the last book or have you. I haven't been on your blog lately. But I did see something on TV about what happened to the loyalist after the Revolutionary War. It was not what I thought. Also, remember that show I told you about the Boston Massacre (which was really not a massacre in my mind. I think the citizens were responsible but that is for another debate.) I watched it again. This time I noticed they mentioned that Gov. Hutchinson lived right down the street from I think Paul Revere. I think it was Paul Revere. Maybe Ben Franklin. I can't remember. I knew who this Hutchinson guy was because of when I critiqued the book, he was in there. I felt so proud of myself for knowing this. LOL, I would have never known who he was if it wasn't for you. _________________ Don't cry if you have lost the sun. The tears won't permit you to see the stars. |

Aw, thanks, Jeanne.
Yeah, Gov. Hutchinson was really a sad figure in all of this. His family had been in America for generations, but he wanted Boston to remain a British Boston. I really felt for the guy.
When we were in Boston, I tried to stay in the old section of town. As I walked the streets, I tried to place myself in the 1700s. It was quite chilling to tour all of those buildings and know what happened inside their walls. My husband, bless him, let me take all the time I needed.
I love your idea of playing up the mystery and focusing on both William and Harrison. I'll head over to look at photos now. I knew you'd have a great idea.
I haven't started the third book yet. I am trying to finish the anthology (I've reached the halfway mark) and McKnight (getting close to halfway) first.
Jeanne, wait until you read McKnight. Wow! _________________ Carol

I can't wait to read McKnight.
I always like to look at both sides of the coin. The loyalists were faithful to their beloved England. How can we damn them for that. They fought in what they believed was the right way just as the Sons of Liberty did. I saw on TV that after the Revolutionary War that the loyalists were shunned by the Americans. Most of them returned to England. I talked to my sister about that and she told me that a lot of them went to Canada too. I'll have to look into that some more though. But I just figured after the War then all was just forgotten and people just continued on and forgave each other but I was wrong. I'm going to have to look that up. _________________ Don't cry if you have lost the sun. The tears won't permit you to see the stars. |
