COF is now #7 overall on the best seller list. On historicals, #1. Wow, going up Carol.
I usually help my kids when they have problems, lol but there are things that they know that I don't know. I think adobe has been around since the 90's. I don't know if my very first computer had it that I bought in 96. I really didn't use that computer very much. Mostly to play games. Only had dial-up back then and never really got high speed internet until I bought this computer in 2002. Can you imagine that my first computer only came with 16 MB of RAM. This one here came with 256 and I eventually upgraded to 768. The other computer I have, that I bought in 2004, I upgraded as well. Nice to have someone with a degree in electronics here!! James now wants me to buy a newer computer because the graphics card cannot be upgraded. I told him that. It seems they want, want, want. If I had the money, I would buy them both a computer and send them to their rooms the rest of their lives. No, just kidding but all of us keep fighting over these two computers. Can you imagine only one computer??? Not a pretty picture.
Hope the manual is helpful. You will at least know what you can do with your palm pilot now. Looks like you can save the file as well to your computer. _________________ Don't cry if you have lost the sun. The tears won't permit you to see the stars. |

I entered the contest but I won't win because you have to buy your book from the wild rose press with a number. Cale you should enter. _________________ Don't cry if you have lost the sun. The tears won't permit you to see the stars. |

Hi Carol, Congratulations. I managed to purchase Cost Of Freedom Yahoo! And I downloaded it to my computer. I was also then able to save it to my flash drive/memory stick so I can take it with me and read it whenever I like if I have some time and a computer avaliable. I havent had the time to start it since downloading as we went away for the weekend and now I am back at work. I did read the prologue though. I feel like it is just as exciting as reading Everlasting when it came out. The other thing is its cost even with the conversion into New Zealand dollars is about only a third of the cost if I purchased it here in paperback and it was increadibly fast to download as well. It makes the purchase of a digital reader or even maybe a palm pilot more viable as I for one would certainly get my moneys worth out of owning one. Good luck on your climb up the best sellar list |

Hi Brony,
I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner. I just saw your post. Thank you for purchasing Cost of Freedom. I hope you enjoy it. And I'm thrilled that you had success with the download. I don't think digital will ever replace paper books, but it sure is a nice convenience that seems to be catching on. _________________ Carol

thanks Carol,
I was hoping to get a digital reader as I go through duty free in Hong Kong or vancouver but have had some expensive dental bills so had to step into my spending money. I have entered the competions you pointed us towards so hopefully I might get one that way lol. I would like to download all of KEWs etc and when going away it would be great to take knowing I have always got one in my bag with a choice of books to read whenever I like. Paperback will always be a favourite but at least with a d/reader I can carry it unlike my computer. |

I'm good. We went over to France (Le Bono-pronounced Le bone) to see old friends They are coming over in August we feel the generation gap shouldn't die with us! Were trying to convince our oldest to go there and live (with friends) for a month to really learn the language. No Takers yet! It's funny I do 'school girl' French but apparently my accent is so good when I say, ( parlé francais un petit, bonsoir?soir sava? Sava bien!?) They talk to me in a rapid gunfire way and I have no idea what's been said!! Luckily Phillip knows me well enough to rescue me but., he's just as bad!!
Carol I'm so ahppy for you! I tink evrything that's being fed back is no less than you deserve. emember I told you what a clever girl you were? Was that really so long aga? Good for you XXXX |

Hi Andrea. So you've been to France. My sister went to London and went to the church in Marylebone to see it and it was closed. Ugh!!!! Same church that Charles Dickens went to. Can you believe it was closed!!! She bought me a tin whistle in Ireland and I played a little bit of it yesterday. I got it yesterday. I played Cockels and Mussels and Auld Lang syne and Old McDonalds had a farm. I played these songs rather poorly but at least they almost sounded like the songs. I'm am quite pleased with myself!!! I'm just full of talent these days!!! I'm almost to all of you guys level now in talent!!! _________________ Don't cry if you have lost the sun. The tears won't permit you to see the stars. |
