With COST OF FREEDOM's release date weeks away, I'm trying to come up with something exciting in the way of a contest. What are some things you would love to see in a goody basket? _________________ Carol

Harrison is what I'd like to see in a goody basket. Well, I'll have to think about it. What kind of contest do you mean?

Jeanne!
That's too funny. Hmm, where to find a gift basket that large. lol I think I would have a hard time parting with that prize.
As for the contest...questions from the book or a drawing, something like this? For prizes...a gift certificate, a free copy of the book/sequel? _________________ Carol

You can send him in a crate. A goody crate!!! How about an autographed copy of COF? People seem to like having the author's autograph. And you can personalize the autograph by putting the winner's name in it. On what website would you put the contest on? I think it would be good on the publisher's website or your own.

Hi Jeanne,
That sounds good. I'll announce it everywhere as the time gets closer. Having the book released once as e-book and later as print, I'll have to think about two contests. _________________ Carol

I'm glad you thought my idea good. I hope I win the prize so I can get my crate soon. lol Just kidding!!!! I really think the autograph thing is a good idea though. I would maybe throw in a gift certificate to Borders or something like that. People always like getting money!!!!

Carol I was wondering if there is a chance of me getting you to personnaly autograph a copy for me when your book is released. If I can get the money to you to pay for the book and the postage I would be honored and it would be a very special addition to my bookcase.

I think a good gift basket, along with the book, would be a "Reader's gift basket", with relaxation things in it, like aromatherapy candles, book darts, book marks, and things like that.

Delia's idea is cool, because it's stuff most people won't buy. Maybe anything that ties in with the time period/location. Or stuff that has to do with your book, like the omlete recipe, maybe a candle that is the same scent that the heroine wears, a cd of music from that time (might be difficult with liscenses though).
