| I like the changes you made to the website. Do you like my icon? I used to love playing Sonic. |

Hi Jeanne,
I love your icon! It's so cool. I'm glad you like the changes. I went through so many templates trying to find one I was comfortable with. There was nothing that had a soft and romantic feel to it. Oh, well. I like the way the trim of the forum is the same as the trim on the book cover. _________________ Carol

| I think this template is fine. Wanted to comment on the Trixie Belden books. Do you know that I have never heard of them!!!! I just looked them up and they have been out since 1948. How come I never knew of them before. I read all the Nancy Drew books growing up and I was into Encyclopedia Brown. I feel that I missed something here in my life. Do you think that I'm too old to enjoy them now? I think I would at least like to read the first ones that were published. |

OMG, Jeanne! You have to read them. They are great. I think the first one is Trixie Belden and the Gatehouse Mystery. How sad am I that I remember this?! Nope, you are never too late for Trixie Belden. _________________ Carol

I want to introduce myself. First of all, I am not a writer. Just a reader of books. I don't know anything about publishing books or writing them. I do also like poetry. My all time favorite romance book is Jane Eyre. And I am extremely fond of Kathleen Woodiwiss. I like to read all types of books, depending on my moods. I like history as well. I enjoy genealogy and that is my hobby. In doing genealogy I can go back in time and learn about that time period. Maybe stumble on something interesting about a person. I like to imagine what life was like in the time periods of my ancestors. In doing my research in my family's past I have come up with one that fought in the American Revolution and another in the War of 1812. I have one that was killed by the indians in North Carolina in 1791. There is also some that were slave owners in the Carolinas. Also have come upon my British ancestors as well. I recently received poems and verse by one ancestor who wrote about the Napoleonic Wars and he also wrote about giving comfort to people. All this has given me a glimpse into the past. Especially when I read their wills, etc. Anyways, this is what I like to do. _________________ Don't cry if you have lost the sun. The tears won't permit you to see the stars. |
