Well here I go, you must exuse me if I run on, those of you that know me will ignore those of you that don't...ignore when you feel necessary!
My name is Andrea known to most people (except those I don't like) as Andi, I live in the UK on the south coast to me, the most beautiful part of our small island! I'm a mother with all the unpaid vocations that come with the role, a amateur history buff, I love science fantasy, Raymond E Fiest, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Tad Williams, Anne McCaffrey the list is endless! And have been reading that and historical since I was about twelve-ish. I hate the butchering of the English language but am not any less guilty than the next man, but can only beat myself up about that! I'm a loyal and devoted friend to those who befriend me and befriend only those I find worthy (very high and mighty!!) and hope the feelings are reciprocated.
See I told you you'd get bored!!
Oh and have been challenged to post!!!......Carol! |

LOL, Hi Andi,
I didn't realize you were so interested in sci-fi. Does that include paranormal? That's very popular right now. _________________ Carol

I like Anne Rice and was reading her before the films. I sort of did paranormal years ago, I was one of the sad people who worked out the sixth sense when his mum walked in the room and didn't talk to Bruce, my husband makes me shush.... he says I'm always doing it. have you seen Atonement? I worked out the guilt trip.... I was made to shush then too!! |

Andrea, I really like your name. It is a beautiful name. I like Science Fiction as well but I haven't read it in years. Mostly I read Isacc Asimov and Ray Bradbury. Ray Bradbury just makes me feel great as I recall. He had that writing that makes you feel your youth. Thats what I like about him. Andrea have you read, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. It takes place in England in 1806 during the Napoleonic wars about two magicians. Someone gave it to me for Christmas. I haven't read it yet but it looks good. I like the paranormal stuff but I usually read non fiction on that. But mostly I just watch about it on TV. Carol, you are right. It seems the paranormal is big business now. _________________ Don't cry if you have lost the sun. The tears won't permit you to see the stars. |
