I think the author should have a say in the cover but sometimes maybe the publishers know best what is appealing to people. _________________ Don't cry if you have lost the sun. The tears won't permit you to see the stars. |

| I find some romance cover art, to be absolutely beautiful, so I've done some research on different artists and the process etc. It's said that the cover is left to the publisher, because it is their job to market the book. Depending on the publisher,. the author can have some input, and if the author is very popular, and has proven they know a thing or two, they can have more say. Marsha Canham, one of my favorite author's had to fight, but she's actually gotten a lot of her covers done the way she's wanted. It's rumored she originated the man-only step backs, with no female clutching his bulging body. |
