Hey Carol, can you explain a bit more what a digital release is. Like could I read it on my ipod or do I have to sit at the computer to read?

Hi Cale,

I'll do my best. I'm not up on all of the latest technology. (s)

A digital book is a book that can be downloaded and read on any of the following devices:

Computer, ipod, kindle (this is big with Amazon.com), readers like ms reader, mobi pocket, or adobe, pocket pc's or other handheld devices.

I hope I included all of them. Do you have any books in digital?

No, but I don't want to wait until the end of Novemeber to read yours. Hopefully I'll figure out a way to put it on my ipod, because I can't stand reading stuff for long periods of time on the computer.

(VBG)

From what I understand, it shouldn't be difficult. On www.thewildrosepress.com website, there are directions to help you download successfully.

Cale, here is a site on how to read an e-book on an Ipod. I think it best to download it to your computer first and then put it on your Ipod like this site says. Otherwise you may lose it. Anyways, hope this helps.

Remember you are not getting this from I-tunes so if you lose it they won't have a back-up but I think I read that the publishing company will keep it for 30 days in case you delete it. I would put it on a disc as well. My free copy came as adobe and when I right clicked it to open as microsoft word it wouldn't let me, lol.

Thanks Jeanne, that helps a lot. I never thought to put it on a disk. Hopefully all will go easily, I might have to enlist the aide of my computer savvy sister. Carol-it's all for you! Laughing

I sure would like the kindle. I noticed that KEW's books come in Kindle. They cost $400. Sure would like something better to read an e-book on than the computer.

The kindle doesn't interest me at all. I prefer books the old fashioned way, but I'm making an exception for Carol. Maybe I'll like it after all. A kindle just seems so expensive and then you have to buy books on top of it, not to mention it's probably fragile, I'd bust it as often as I read.

I just looked at the cost of those Digital books WOW they are not cheap and I have to double the USA price to get my NZ cost not including the packaging either. Still tempted though I will have to look into this further.

I like the regular books better as well but it is hard for me to read in bed. Not enough light so I have to sit there trying to get the light right on the book to read it. One of those readers would be nice but it is way too expensive for me. And there are also plenty of free e-books as well. I'm assuming they are the classics since they aren't copyrighted. So I would really like to have one. It would make it so much easier for me. I still plan on buying Carol's printed version though. Still nothing better than having that feel of a book in your hands.

I don't know what happened. I stopped getting alerts that new messages were posted. Sorry, guys.

All of you are so sweet. It's too bad we can't have a centrally located book signing. That would be cool.

I hope all of you enjoy COF and please be sure to read the acknowlegement page! Wink
