I have been asked to be part of a Christmas anthology for 2009. TWRP is putting together a book of short Christmas stories representing different periods in history.

I worked on a rough outline this morning and I'm getting anxious to start.

Oh Carol go for it! I am not a big anthology person, but I do like the Christmas ones. You can't find too many books that take place around that time. My book actually has a lot to do with Christmas, I just love it so much. You mentioned on another thread that you tend to start your books off in March, I tend to start my stories in Fall, because it leads through autumn and Christmas my favorite times of the year. I find nothing more romantic that the colors of fall, and especiall (get ready to cringe Jeanne) snow!

Hi Cale,

Thanks for your enthusiam. I agree with you. I love fall. I can't say I love winter because I live in Florida. We don't really get winter weather. I do love going to NC and getting a small taste of snow. I've often wondered how I would feel if I had to live in it.

You're right. This will be the first story that I didn't start in March. I think it's time I broke out of the mold. Laughing

And since you mentioned your story. Ahem...how close are you to submitting? *taps foot*

I was hoping to have the book half written (not have finished) by my birthday which was a few weeks ago, but I've been busy with stuff going on that I haven't been able to finish that final chapter of part one. Oddly the final chapter takes place on Christmas Eve, so I've been paying Christmas music to get me in the mood (not like I don't listen to Christmas music yea round anyway Laughing ). I think you should make your books start whenever you want them, so I see no reason why you should break out of a mold. So long as the book is good, who cares that they all start around the same time.
Speaking of fall I'll look for the short story I wrote during my fiction writing course called The Autumn Sky. It's short and sweet, no villian, just 2 people falling in love. When I find it I'll post it for you guys.

Yes, I don't like cold weather nor snow but the good thing about the winter is that there is always the Spring. Autumn is really beautiful though. The only bad part about Autumn is that I know winter is coming!!! But we can't have a Spring without the winter. Now that sounds philosophical, doesn't it?
